Jen Rogers is a contemporary mixed-media artist and founder of The Collected Space Gallery in Honeoye, New York. Her work is rooted in a simple belief: the spaces we surround ourselves with matter, and art has the ability to bring joy, calm, connection, and a sense of belonging to the places we call home.
Originally from Penfield, New York, Jen and her family first made Honeoye their part-time home in 2012 before settling there full-time in 2018. She lives with her husband, Doug, and is the mother of seven. Family, home, the Finger Lakes, and the experiences that shape a life all find their way, sometimes quietly and symbolically, into her work.
Jen works intuitively, building layers of paint, ink, collage, texture, oil pastel, and found materials. Her abstract paintings evolve through a process of adding, covering, revealing, and reworking until each piece finds its own balance. She is drawn to imperfect marks, unexpected details, and the little glimpses of earlier layers that remain visible beneath the surface.
Living near Honeoye Lake has also become an important influence on Jen’s work. Water, movement, nature, and the colors and rhythms of the Finger Lakes appear throughout her paintings, sometimes literally and often simply as a feeling.

For Jen, art is more than something beautiful to hang on a wall. The right piece can change the way a room feels and, in turn, change the way you feel when you are in it. She believes our homes and everyday spaces should be filled with things that bring us joy, make us feel at ease, and make us happy to be exactly where we are.
That philosophy ultimately inspired The Collected Space Gallery, a welcoming, thoughtfully curated space where people can experience original art without pressure or pretension, discover artists they connect with, and find pieces that make their own spaces feel a little more like home.
Art should make you happy to be where you are.
