Raised in Henrietta, Suzan’s talent and love for art resulted in  her achieving a BFA degree in 1987 from R.I.T. in the Medical Illustration program. She also later became a registered nurse caring for hospitalized patients. Now semi-retired in nursing, Suzan continues to enjoy creating original pieces of art.

Suzan’s art explodes in colorful impressionistic pieces that explore movement, texture, and light in varying scenes: lake, water foul, ocean, and even surreal water or landscape scenes.  She will often wake up early to watch sun’s colors splash the sky as it rises over Honeoye  lake. She delights in how the afternoon sunlight dances on the lake and how the eagles soar from above. Her impressionist paintings often evoke motion and the tranquility of fingerlakes region.

Suzan has sold paintings along the eastern US and has had her art published. She has completed commissioned work of pets, family, and personal design. Residing in Honeoye with her husband, Suzan is local to The Collective Space Gallery, where she exhibits her works.
